Biography of Sulaf Fawakherji

Born in Lattakia Syria, 7/27/1977

• She obtained her B.A in Archeology from Damascus University in 1998 and Masters in Classical archeology in 2003 from Damascus University.
• She studied painting and sculpture at Adham Ismael Folkloric Art College
• Married to Director/Actor Wael Ramadan and has two kids Hamza and Ali
• She started in 1985 at 8 years old in the series “Aldunia Mudhek Mubki"
• Her second stage of acting started in 1996 during college years in the film “Alterhal”
• Lailet albaby doll, Hassebah.
• Her work includes an extensive number of Television series such as Seeret aljalali, Salah Al deen al Ayobi, Saker Quraish, Ahlam Kabeera, Asser el Jonoon, Shahrazad, Assiea Al Dame’a and the famous Asmahan and upcoming series Cleopatra.
  

Awards and Achievements:

She received numerous awards from Cairo Festival, the Artists Syndicate of Syria, Tunis Television Festival, Murex Award for best actress for 2008, 2009, Adonia Award in 2008/Syria and she was honored at Damascus Film Festival in 2008 to name only a few.

She participated in the Canne Film Festival in 2006 and 2008.

The First Arabic Artist to participate in carrying the Piking Olympic Torch in 2008.
Her charitable involvement is many such as Basma Organization; Altawahod Organization... United Nations UNICIF, and many many more.

Sulaf Fawakherji was unanimously nominated and selected by all the past Award recipients to receive the 2010 Al-Ataa Award.
